Oz Scaling is a young Australian agency building a small team. If you write well or edit well, we want to hear from you. Experience helps, but reliability matters more.
18+ only · Paid training and a paid trial shift · We never charge applicants a cent.
Everything is remote and contract-based to start. If you're good, hours grow quickly. Most of our team started on a few shifts a week.
This industry has plenty of operators who are vague about the work until you've already started, or who charge people to be hired. We'd rather you know exactly what this is and decide for yourself.
If any of it isn't for you, no hard feelings, and no wasted week.
Fill in the form below. It takes a few minutes. Tell us what you're good at.
A quick call or voice note. We explain the work properly and you ask anything you like.
A few hours of the real thing with someone alongside you. Paid, whatever we both decide afterwards.
Written guidelines and someone to ask. Hours build as you get good, and good people get first pick of shifts.
Work from wherever you are. We care that shifts get covered.
Written playbooks and someone to ask at any hour. Nobody gets dropped into an inbox alone.
Every week, without chasing. Commission is calculated transparently and you can see the numbers behind it.
We don't pretend a shift is four hours when it's eight. Need to swap a shift or take time off? Tell us early and we'll work with it.
We're small and growing. The people who start on shifts now will be running teams later.
You'll be talking to the founder directly. If something's wrong, say so and it gets fixed.
For chatter and content scout roles, no. We train from scratch and prefer someone reliable over someone with bad habits. For editing and marketing roles, show us work. A portfolio beats a CV every time.
It depends on the role and hours, so we won't advertise a number we can't hold to. Chatters get a base rate plus commission on what they sell, which is where the real money is. Editors are paid per edit or hourly, whichever suits the volume. We tell you the exact numbers on the call, before you do any work.
Flexible, and there's more work at unsociable hours. Fan activity peaks late at night in US and UK time zones, which pays well if you're a night owl or live somewhere that lines up. Most people start on a few shifts a week and build from there.
No. We're Australian-based but the team is worldwide, and coverage across time zones is useful to us. You need excellent written English and a reliable internet connection.
Never. Our staff are anonymous. You'll use a work handle, and no client or fan will know who you are. If a role ever required otherwise, we'd say so in the ad.
It takes stamina and a thick skin more than skill. You're holding several conversations at once and staying in character the whole time. Some fans are lovely and some are rude, and you learn to shut the rude ones down. People who write quickly and don't take things personally do well.
Yes. Say so in the form and tell us which you'd prefer. Several of our team do two things.
Fair question, and worth asking of every agency in this space. We pay for trial shifts and we never ask you for money. If any of that were different, you should walk.
A few minutes, and a real person reads every application. We reply within 48 hours either way, including when it's a no.
Be specific. “I reply fast and I can hold six conversations at once” tells us more than a paragraph about being a hard-working team player.
